Legacy in Flight

This painting, Legacy in Flight, began as a vision to bring together three powerful symbols — the American eagle, the horse, and the flag. While developing the concept, I received an extra spark of inspiration after seeing a Budweiser commercial that reminded me of the deep connection between the Clydesdale and the spirit of America.

That inspiration led me to choose a Clydesdale as the horse featured in the painting. The horse in this piece is modeled after a real Clydesdale named Legacy, who passed away last year far too soon. Legacy was an extraordinary horse and deeply loved by everyone who knew him. His presence, strength, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression, and I felt he was the perfect horse to honor in this work.

Legacy in Flight is both a tribute to him and a celebration of the enduring spirit of America. The soaring eagle, flowing flag, and noble horse together represent freedom, strength, and the powerful legacy carried forward through generations.

This painting was created as my artistic tribute to the 250th anniversary of America, honoring the history, courage, and enduring spirit that continue to shape our nation.
